North Easterly indecision ..... Camber Posse convinced me to go to St Marys Bay as opposed to the considerably closer Pevensey Bay

Got there, after bit of a diversion en route due to road closure .... and to eb honest, other than the company, I wondered why I'd bothered.

Looked marginal 5.8m weather at best, but the forecast was always for it to fill in. Littlestone looked as though it'd be better for the direction, as would be less gusty on the inside, but there is also quite a hike come low tide there.

Wind filled in a bit so we all rigged up, (5.3m Ego & Freewave 95 for me) ... then watched Camber Mafia bog out miles .... like MILES ... before geting going. Robster meanwhile, weighing in around the same as my left leg, flew out on his 5.0m ....

Snap decision time ... grabbed bigger board (Freewave 115) and plugged the 5.3m into that. Couple of runs later and decided that it'd be much better fun with a bigger rig, so grabbed the 5.9m and stuck that on the FW115. Much more fun.

Meanwhile, Rich came back in having busted a harness line, and I loaned him the FW95 and 5.3m to save him hunting through his van for a line while the wind was up.

Sailed until had to stop to re-hydrate, and as wind filled in stuck the 5.9m on the FW95 for a bit.

Just as was considering switching to the 5.3m on the FW95 it all eased a bit, and I realised I was getting pretty knackered .... so after 3.5 hours of port tack in sunshine, set about packing up the kit and heading for home.

Good to catch up with Gutted again after a long winter break, as well as the rest of the Camber Posse.

Fun as it was, still not sure about all this port tack stuff ;-)
